Our Pinot Gris fruit comes from the Kirkland Ranch Vineyard located in a “bowl” in the southern end of the Napa Valley.  The vineyard rests in a cool area fostering the perfect growing environment for Pinot Gris from the constant cool breeze from the ocean.

On the nose, citrus, light orange rind and warmed honeycomb dominate with soft floral notes of Geraniums and Calla lilies. Upon entry, there is a seamless transition from the nose. The mid palate and finish are filled with ripe apricots, orange blossoms and tropical fruits rounded out by mulled spices and hints of ground clove.

This is a bigger bodied Pinot Gris and can easily compliment holiday fare, especially turkey and pork dishes. It also works great as an aperitif and with a wide array of appetizers.  An all around fun white wine to add to the festivities!

Harvest Notes:Picked and transported as quickly as possible the grapes go immediately into the press for a very long and gentle pressing cycle, sometimes taking up to 8 hours.

Tasting Notes:Crisp entry of lemon zest, tropical melons and Asian pears with hints of honeysuckle and clove on the nose. On the palate there is honey-dew melon, ripe tangerines, Meyer lemons and candied apple.
