The Vineyard and Winemaking – Located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, the well-drained sandy and gravelly soils of our estate vineyard, in partnership with moderate temperatures, yield the great flavor intensity, yet supple mouth-feel of our Cabernet Sauvignon. The tremendous depth and complexity of our Cabernet is further enhanced by the four carefully selected Cabernet clones planted here.

Each block was hand-harvested into small boxes at daybreak and carefully sorted at the winery. Our winemaker allowed four days of cold soak, for a gentle extraction of color and flavor, followed by warm fermentation. Several weeks of extended maceration increased flavor intensity and rounded the tannins. Malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak further enhanced the length, depth and complexity, culminating in a well-integrated, cellar-worthy wine with a velvety texture.

Tasting – Inviting aromas of black currant, black cherries, savory spices and a hint of tobacco.  On the palate, dark berries and crème de cassis continue through to the long, satisfying finish. The firm, polished tannins promise even greater complexity with age. Enjoy!

Oceania Cruises' Insignia

Mark it on your calendars and in your mobile devices! You are invited to join Bob/Armando Williamson, proprietor of Ideology Cellars and his wife Joni for an unforgettable fall foliage cruise aboard Oceania Cruises' Insignia for an 10-day adventure from Montreal to New York!

Shipping wine during hot weather can spell disaster for wine.  Ideology Cellars prefers and recommends not shipping wines during the months of June – September.  However, if you really can’t wait for cooler weather, we can arrange overnight or 2-day air.  In the case of extreme hot temperatures, shipments may be delayed to protect your wine.
