Winemaking - Our unique estate vineyard is located in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley.  It is bordered on the north by Dry Creek, which has left its legacy by distributing sand and gravelly soil throughout the vineyard.  These soils translate into ideal growing conditions for the fruit, yielding deep, concentrated and intense flavors in the wine.

After picking, the grapes were sorted and de-stemmed and put into tank for a few days to allow for skin contact. Then, using the Saignée (French from bleeding) method, the pink juice from the must (freshly pressed juice) is fermented in stainless steel, undergoes malolactic fermentation, and is stirred on the lees for 5 months.

Tasting – Picture the color of a pink sky at sunset …Beautiful bright aromas of strawberries and stone fruit, with subtle hints of spice.  A sip simply must be taken..

Palate:  Balanced and crisp with flavors of raspberry, red berries, and peaches come through marvelously to complete this dry and well-rounded Rosé.  This charming wine is very approachable, extremely food friendly and refreshing.  The perfect wine for backyard entertaining on a hot day!

SHIPPING WINE IN HOT WEATHER

Shipping wine during hot weather can spell disaster for wine.  Ideology Cellars prefers and recommends not shipping wines during the months of June – September.  However, if you really can’t wait for cooler weather, we can arrange overnight or 2-day air.  In the case of extreme hot temperatures, shipments may be delayed to protect your wine.
